Aunt Hettie's Red Okra

65 days
This is an old heirloom red okra from the Tidwell family of Tennessee, (my own relatives). It was passed on to me by a cousin of mine who received it from my great aunt Hettie Tidwell back in the early 1970s, how far it dates back in our family's history is not clear but it was said my great aunt had been growing it for many, many years.

The stalks and leaves are a beautiful burgundy red color; the pods are a glossy red. Plants reach a height of about 5 feet. It has a wonderful taste.
