Yellow Orinoco is a derived strain of tobacco from the original Orinoco (Virginia Orinoco) which is one of the oldest varieties still in existence dating back to the 1700's.
"Long, narrow, tapering leaf, fine texture, stands up well; principally for plug work and smokers; sweetest variety grown. Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina, Tennessee, West Virginia, Missouri. (Primary grown areas) Pre 1880 variety."
